Non contentious department PA/Para Legal

We have an exciting opportunity for a PA/Paralegal to work in our non contentious department doing a mixture of commercial and residential property work.  This position is based full time in our Gloucester Road office and will involve working for the head of the department plus a legal executive.  It will be expected that you have experience of property work, although it is not essential that you have experience in the commercial sector.  The position will be varied.  The PA side of the role is to provide full secretarial/pa cover to the head of the department and the legal executive in terms of typing support, plus additional essential support in respect of other matters such as completion of land registry forms and sdlt applications on line, organisation of completions, carrying out searches on line etc.  You will also be expected to be the main backup should either fee earner be out of the office; this will require an excellent telephone manner and the ability to take your own initiative in dealing with client matters.  It will also require a more of a PA type role for the marketing and management side of the department as both individuals are actively involved in this side of the business.  This will mean organisation of diaries and appointments, production of presentations etc.  Full IT skills will be required to facilitate this.  In addition the position also offers the opportunity to develop into a paralegal role.  Ideally, you would already have some experience of dealing with cases and involvement in fee earning work as it is anticipated that you would be required to assist both fee earners in this.

We think that this is a really good opportunity for someone looking to work in property and who thrives on a busy environment and works well as part of a team
