Mrs. Y had been the victim of domestic violence from her husband for a number of years, some of which had been seen by her 3 young children.
After a particularly nasty attack over the weekend, that had left her with a lot of bruises, she left the home with the children to stay with her mother on the Sunday night but was frightened that her husband would come and get her.
She came to see us on the Monday and we went down to the court to get her orders protecting her from further assaults by her husband.
On the Friday we went back to court to get an order requiring her husband to leave by 5 p.m. and letting her and the children move back in.
